The beautiful scenery of Madison County and the water flowing gracefully down Little Rock Creek will make you feel great. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so keep in mind that lots of rivers in this state are good for beginners. campgrounds nearby. If you're coming from Farmington it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. The Off of Highway E section of Little Rock Creek in Missouri is 1
| miles long and has been rated as a class IV+ section by American Whitewater. The Off of Highway E section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Briefly about the general area: If the weather is great here at Little Rock Creek, you can go
for a hike along the Silver Mine Trail. Sam A. Baker State Park is worth taking a look at if you're at Little Rock Creek, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Crane Lake Trail. At this river you will never have
a bad time. A fine site right next door to Little Rock Creek is Bill Smith Hollow. The warmest time of the year at Little Rock Creek comes with high temperatures in the 80's.
