  The starting point is not too far from Bozeman, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This stretch of Boulder River in Montana is 1 miles long and is a class V+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The nature scenery of Sweet Grass County and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want
    to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is a very short stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots
of good places for that around here. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. The wild scenery of the Absaroka Range is great. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Montana are often easier than in other states, so keep in mind that rivers in this state are not as hard as elsewhere.  
The campgrounds here at Boulder River are pretty good.

Briefly about the general area:
Everybody loves Natural Bridge State Park; if you wish for a little side tour, try Baker Draw. You definitely ought to have a thing about the Absaroka Range. There are plenty of folks from Mc Leod here at Boulder River. Boulder River is a location that is relatively dried out mostly. May is when you get the most rain here while February is ordinarily the driest month. For the period of the warm months highs here at Boulder River reach the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
