The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. This stretch has has enough mileage, good for a one day paddling trip. The river winds through the Lewis Range and     you get great scenery. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. The Moccasin Creek to West Glacier section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. If you're coming from Kalispell it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The scenic beauty of -blank- County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great   reasons to come. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Briefly about the general area: Go for a hike on the Ousel Peak Trail; a tour to Glacier National Park is worthwhile. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more fun things to do here in the Lewis Range. Going for a hike on the South Boundary Trail is always a great adventure, and Flathead River - Middle Fork is a place with many visitors from West Glacier. If you come to this river you will have a good time for sure.
