The Libby to Troy stretch of Kootenai River in Montana is 20 miles long and has been rated as a class I-IV section by American Whitewater. Briefly about the general area: Kootenai River is right by the Crowell Trail, and splendid skiing awaits you at Turner Mountain. The Pulpit Mountain National Recreation Trail offers
hiking at its best. Through the summertime months highs here at Kootenai River reach the 80's; the nighttime is a little colder of course, generally in the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are regularly in the 30's while
the cold winter nights at Kootenai River are in the 10's. The amount of rain that falls at Kootenai River is close to the national average. The wettest month of the year is ordinarily November, that's the one that rains the most, and July on the other hand is the driest.
