  The natural beauty of Montana and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. The starting location is a short drive from Great Falls, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This stretch has has enough mileage, good for a one day paddling trip. The Great Falls stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. Great exercise and spending some
    quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with not too many
other rivers for that. This section of Missouri River in Montana is 9 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II(V) section. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.

Briefly about the general area:
Everybody loves Giant Springs State Park; if you're visiting from Floweree,
 
you won't be the only one. Missouri River gets very little precipitation. The month with most of the rain is May while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime highs at Missouri River commonly tend to be in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Missouri River are in the 10's.
