Coos county, Errol Rapids section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS II     0.5 miles
If you're coming from Berlin it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. This section of Androscoggin River is 0.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whether you're whitewater
rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. The Errol Rapids stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. The natural beauty of Coos County and the beautiful way the water
current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. Whitewater paddling here in the White Mountains is a great experience. This stretch is very short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so don't forget
that rivers here are less forgiving. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby.
