  The Bragg's Bay to Pontook stretch of Androscoggin River in New Hampshire is 17 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II section of whitewater. The scenic beauty of Coos County and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in New Hampshire are harder than the national norm, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. There are plenty
    of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting
your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The starting location is a short drive from Berlin, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. When you're paddling down a White Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. If you have the time you can make  
this a two day trip, so pack your camping stuff. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots.

Briefly about the general area:
Thirteen Mile Woods is a forest near Androscoggin River that you can go to, and you absolutely should have a look at Moose Brook State Park if you're here. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things truly is plentiful here in the White Mountains. Really nice skiing awaits you at Balsams Wilderness; a visit to Dixville Notch State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. At this river you will always have a good time.
