Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in New Hampshire tend to be more challenging than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The scenic beauty of New Hampshire and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. This is a short paddling stretch so
    you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive
a bit to get to one, but if you donít have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The Troy to Webb section of Ashuelot River - South Branch in New Hampshire is 2.3 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-IV section of whitewater. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.

During your tour to Ashuelot River - South Branch you'll meet some folks from Troy for sure. Everybody loves Rhododendron State Park, and there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Farmers Trail. This river is so perfect.
