  This section of Baker River - South Branch is 3 miles long and it is classified as a class V section by American Whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but

the water flowing gracefully down Baker River - South Branch make the trip here worthwhile. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. This section is quite short so better bring some good walking shoes. The river winds through the White Mountains and you get great scenery. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. The Dorchester

You certainly should take a look at Cardigan State Park if you're here at Baker River - South Branch, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Baker River - South Branch; Stevens Brook Trail is a delightful local trail. Man, is there a heap of amusing stuff to do in the White Mountains. Wellington State Beach is both delightful and lovely, and it's right next door to Baker River - South Branch, and the snow is fine at Tenney Mountain. This river is so good. The Rattlesnake Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best, and the cheerful people of Wentworth like to hang out nearby.
