  The natural beauty of New Hampshire and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. The put-in is not too far from Concord, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The Route 127 to Snyder's Mill stretch of Blackwater River is 2.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-IV section. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to
    drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in New Hampshire are harder than the national norm, so if you're visiting
here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. The campgrounds here at Blackwater River are pretty good. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find  
lots of paddling spots.

Briefly about the general area:
If the weather is splendid here at Blackwater River, you can go for a hike along the Wilmot Trail. Rollins State Park is a splendid place to stretch your legs a bit; Blackwater River is not far at all from Concord. If you come to this river you will have a good time for sure. Pats Peak is a glorious local ski area, and Winslow State Park is a beautiful place any time of year. A typical amount of rain falls here at Blackwater River. Of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; January is the month with the least moisture.
