Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of     paddling places. This is a pretty short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. The scenic beauty of New Hampshire and the water flowing gracefully down Contoocook River make the trip here worthwhile. Briefly about the   general area: Hiking along the Wilmot Trail is magnificent fun, and Winslow State Park is a great place to stretch your legs a bit. You must beyond doubt take a look at wonderful Campers Beach since you're here at Contoocook River; Pats Peak has great slopes and a friendly staff. This river is so wonderful. If you want to hit the beach, Picnickers Beach is around here; you'll almost certainly meet some folks from Henniker here. When you're here at Contoocook River it's always fun to visit Rollins State Park, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Wapack Trail.
