  If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. The natural beauty of New Hampshire and the playfulness of the water beats anything. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. The beautiful White Mountains scenery is an added bonus. The nearby
    hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the
great campgrounds nearby. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Concord, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This section of Fowler River in New Hampshire is 5.9 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class V section of whitewater. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's  
perfect for a one day trip.

Briefly about the general area:
Wellington State Beach is a fine spot to check out on a wonderful day, and don't leave Fowler River without first going for a hike along the Melton Falls Trail. Now, you may think that's a load but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the White Mountains. You absolutely must stop by Cardigan State Park while you're here at Fowler River; you simply should pop by Simmons Ledges since you're here at Fowler River. The surroundings of this river have so much to offer. During your journey to Fowler River you'll meet some folks from Hebron for sure, and there's great hiking along the Manning Trail.
