Whitewater rafting and kayaking in New Hampshire is often more difficult than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels
    fill up quick. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. The river winds through the White Mountains and you get great scenery. The campgrounds here at Halls

Since you're on this site you are  
probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. This is a pretty short section so no need to bring snacks.

Briefly about the general area:
Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Rattlesnake Mountain Trail; Cardigan State Park is a delightful site to stretch your legs a bit. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the White Mountains has to offer. Skiing at Tenney Mountain is one of those things you just ought to do. Places like Wellington State Beach are great to go to; going for a hike along the Stevens Brook Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
