The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Berlin, as you can see on the road map further down. This stretch of Pemigewasset River in Grafton County is 2.9 miles long and has been rated as a class V section by American Whitewater. The scenic beauty of Grafton County and the playfulness of the     water make the trip here worthwhile. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. The beautiful White Mountains scenery is an added bonus. This stretch is short so better bring some good walking shoes. There are some good hotels near the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about   the general area: Indian Head is an interesting thing to catch a sight of since you're here at Pemigewasset River. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Georgiana Falls, and you can go for a hike on the Mount Pemigewasset Trail. This river is so great. Here at Pemigewasset River you'll probably meet some folks from Lincoln; skiing at Cannon Mountain is one of those things you just must do. Franconia Notch State Park is a magnificent spot to take a look at on a beautiful day, and The Flume is a pleasant location to check out. Good hiking is available along the Whitehouse Trail.
