  This section of Pemigewasset River - North Fork in New Hampshire is 12.4 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV-V section. The average New Hampshire whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving.     Pemigewasset River - North Fork are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. You can pitch a tent or park
your RV at a nearby campground. If you're coming from Berlin it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your camp stove. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers. There are so many sections to paddle in this river system,  
the Lincoln section is just one of many. Whitewater paddling here in the White Mountains is a great experience. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.

Briefly about the general area:
While you're here at Pemigewasset River - North Fork you will meet lots of folks from nearby Twin Mountain. Head up to Waterville Valley and strap some skis to your feet; there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Bondcliff Trail. This river is so perfect. Everybody loves Franconia Notch State Park, and close by you locate the Ceder Brook Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail.
