  The wonderful Hillsborough County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. This section of Piscataquog River is 2.4 miles long and is a class II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Manchester-Nashua, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The Goffstown stretch is one of a few paddling stretches
    in this river system. This is a short paddling stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national
average, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't  
matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here.

Briefly about the general area:
A day on the slopes of McIntyre is just what you need, and good hiking is available along the Old Country Road. If you're stopping by Piscataquog River from Goffstown, you won't be the only one, and there's pleasant hiking along the Onemile Trail. This is such a wonderful river. Don't leave Piscataquog River without first paying a visit to Greggs Falls. Through the months of summer highs here at Piscataquog River reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while Piscataquog River nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's.
