No need to look hard for hotels, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Briefly about the general area: White Mountain National Forest is a glorious place to explore on a pretty day, and lots of people from Intervale come here. There is a perfect hiking trail right next door to Saco River - East Branch called the Number Five Ski Trail, and lovely scenery and fine skiing is what you acquire at Black Mountain. At this river you will never have a bad time. Going for a hike on the New Path Trail is always a glorious adventure. Mt.
