The natural beauty of Merrimack County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This section of Soucook River in New Hampshire is 3.5 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting     and kayaking spots in New Hampshire tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This is a short paddling stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to   keep you coming back for more. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Close to Concord New Hampshire section is one of them. The wild scenery of the White Mountains is great. Briefly about the general area: A tour to Franconia Notch State Park rejuvenates the soul, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Loon Mountain. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the White Mountains. People from Lincoln love to come to Soucook River; hiking along the Liberty Spring Trail is magnificent fun.
