The Upper stretch of Winnipesaukee River is 2.1 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The nature scenery of New Hampshire and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. The put-in is not too far from Concord, as you can see on the road map further down. but there's even more amusing things to do here in the White Mountains. Enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Gilford Beach, and Endicott Park Beach is pretty close by if you're in a beach type of mood. This river is so perfect.
Winnipesaukee River is a good spot of common rain. Most of the rain falls through May, and the driest month of the year is January. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Winnipesaukee River.
