Rio Arriba county, Lagunitas to Los Pinos section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in New Mexico are easier than the national norm, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. The scenic beauty of Rio Arriba County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The Lagunitas to Los Pinos stretch of San Antonio River is 20 miles long and is according to American Whitewater

to Los Pinos section is one of them. If you're coming from Espanola it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost.
