The scenic beauty of Rio Arriba County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The Lagunitas to Los Pinos stretch of San Antonio River is 20 miles long and is according to American Whitewater |
a class II-III section of whitewater. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Lagunitas
| to Los Pinos section is one of them. If you're coming from Espanola it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost.
