Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in New Mexico tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so better not forget that many of the rivers in this state are not very demanding. The beautiful scenery of New Mexico and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. San Juan River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Navajo Dam to Four Corners section is the only one. There aren’t any hotels right nearby |
but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. A stretch of this length does require some preparations, so it looks like you will
| be camping out. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. area: San Juan River is near Cholla Canyon which is positively worth stopping at. Here at San Juan River there are plenty of people from Kirtland. San Juan River is a location that is reasonably dry ordinarily. All through
the month of August you get the most rain around here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All through the summertime months highs here at San Juan River get into the 80's.
