There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Turnwood to East Branch section is one of them. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but   you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. All through the warmest time of the year, highs commonly are in the 80's at Beaver Kill River while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Beaver Kill River plunge into the 10's. Beaver Kill River is a reasonably wet place ordinarily with much rain. May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is February.
