The Austin Glen stretch of Catskill Creek in Greene County is 3 miles long and is a class III-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in New York is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're visiting     here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. This is a short paddling stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people.
