The Lock 32 Whitewater Course stretch of Erie     Canal in New York is 0.14 miles long and is a class II+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you won't find a large number of other spots. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. This is an extremely short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.
