The beautiful scenery of Tompkins County and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Getting some good     exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. The Route 13 Bridge to Cornell Plantations section of Fall Creek is 6 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II section of whitewater. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: Everybody loves Buttermilk Falls State Park; people from Ithaca love   to come here. Allan H. Treman State Marine Park is a great site. Summertime highs at Fall Creek ordinarily tend to be in the 80's; the night is rather chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Fall Creek. The amount of rain that falls at Fall Creek is close to the national average. The wettest month of the year is mostly June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is January.
