The wonderful New York scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Kortright Creek will make you feel great. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. This section of Kortright Creek in Delaware County is     3.3 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. The Route 10 bridge to Charlotte Creek stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. This is a pretty short section so better bring some good walking shoes. The beauty of the Catskill Mountains is a great plus for this river. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other   states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy.
