If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. There are many good hotels to choose from, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This section is quite short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. There's camping available near Owasco River. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there   are lots of good spots for that around here. Briefly about the general area: Owasco River is not far at all from Auburn, and a tour to Cayuga Lake State Park revitalizes the spirit.
