Anthony   Wayne Recreation Area is a great spot to go if you're at Penlolopen Brook; hiking is a popular thing to do around Penlolopen Brook; Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a perfect local trail. This river is a great place to visit. Don't leave Penlolopen Brook without visiting Bear Mountain State Park, and there's magnificent hiking along the Stilwell Lake Trail. While you're here at Penlolopen Brook you will meet lots of folks from nearby Tomkins Cove.
