CLASS II-V     3.8 miles
  The wonderful New York scenery and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This stretch of Potic Creek River is 3.8 miles long and it is classified as a class II-V section by American Whitewater. The starting point is not too far from Hudson, as you can see on the road map further down. The Catskill Mountains scenery is wonderful. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the
    river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The Schoharie Turnpike Bridge to Sandy Plains Road section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system.
Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. This is a pretty short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots  
for that.

Potic Creek River is not far at all from Leeds. Potic Creek River gets a typical amount of rainfall. May is when you get the most rain here; February meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Potic Creek River while overnight lows are usually in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Potic Creek River.
