The beauty     of mother nature reveals herself at Spoonauger Falls, and a trip to Oconee State Park is a great idea. This river is so perfect. Skiing at Scaly Mountain is one of those things you just have to do. Going to Francis Marion-Sumter National Forests in close proximity to Chattooga River is a good thing to do; Ellicott Rock is a great spot to check out while in the region. Jim Harden Gap is a glorious place to visit near Chattooga River, and don't leave Chattooga River without first paying a visit to Kings Creek Falls. That right there is a lot already, but it keeps on going; Chattooga River has it all. Don't leave Chattooga River without first going for a hike along the   Burrells Ford Trail. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Chattooga River. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Chattooga River drop into the 20's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Chattooga River a wet location. Most of the rain falls through March; the driest month is April.
