There's glorious hiking along the Ellicott Rock Trail, and you certainly must stop by Francis Marion-Sumter National Forests if you're here. This river is a great     place to visit. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Chattooga River; Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail is a fine local trail. You can never get enough of the wonderful skiing at Scaly Mountain; Oconee State Park is a good place to check out on a delightful day. Lots of folks from Cashiers come to Chattooga River, and nearby you locate tremendous spots like Whiteside Cove. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Chattooga River get into the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's.
