Lodging is available near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: Deep River is not far at all from Franklinville; the Birkhead Trail is a pleasant hiking trail nearby. The high level of rain makes Deep River a pretty wet spot. The wettest
month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most; April is the month with the least moisture. For the duration of the summertime months at Deep River highs are commonly in the 80's, and throughout
the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Deep River.
