CLASS III-IV+(V)     7.2 miles
The starting point is not too far from Brevard, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The natural beauty of North Carolina and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. The average North Carolina whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so don't forget that many runs in this state are very easy. This river system is full of great paddling stretches,
the Route 1326 Bridge to US Route 64 Bridge stretch is just one of them. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. When
you're paddling down a Blue Ridge Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This section is long enough to enjoy a
good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. This section of French Broad River - North Fork is 7.2 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-IV+(V) section.

Briefly about the general area:
Places like Keowee-Toxaway State Park are great to stop by, and lots of folks from Rosman come here. Now, you may feel that's loads but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Table Rock State Park is a scenic location any time of year, and close by you stumble on Spice Cove which is a tremendous place to stop by.
