Briefly about the general area: The Caldwell Fork Trail is a
good hiking trail right next door to Pigeon River; the good people of Clyde like to hang out nearby. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Great Smoky Mountains. Cataloochee is a fine local ski area, and Terrell
Cove is a delightful site to pop by. This is a really good river. If the weather is good here at Pigeon River, you can go for a hike along the Asbury Trail.
