The nature scenery of Orange County and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors     are sure to keep you coming back for more. There are many good hotels to choose from, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The put-in location is a short drive from Durham, as you can see on the road map further down. This stretch is very short so better bring some good walking shoes. The Pleasant Green Dam to Eno River stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Briefly about the general area: Places like Eno River State Park are tremendous to visit; you'll meet a lot of people from Hillsborough here. Stone's Creek is a quite wet place regularly   with a lot of rainfall. July is the month that gets the most rain, and April is the month with the least moisture. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Stone's Creek. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Stone's Creek dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights.
