North Carolina whitewater, Tannassee Creek

Pisgah section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in North Carolina are often easier than in other states, so better not forget that many of the rivers in this state are not very demanding. Whitewater paddling here in the Blue Ridge Mountains is a great experience. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The Pisgah section of Tannassee Creek in North Carolina is -blank-
miles long and has been rated as a class III-IV(V+) section by American Whitewater. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. The Pisgah stretch is the only paddling stretch along
Tannassee Creek. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The scenic beauty of North Carolina and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything.
