Briefly about the general area: Lots of folks from Kittrell come to Tar River, and a visit to Falls Lake State Park revitalizes the spirit. Tar River is a wet
site that gets a large amount of rainfall. All through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is April. All through the months of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Tar River; the
overnight is somewhat colder of course, regularly in the 60's. Through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Tar River.
