Ohio whitewater, Big Indian Creek Clermont county, Canter Road to County Road 743 section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS III-IV     7.9 miles   Tried to paddle the Big Indian Creek this past weekend.  The coordinates are spot on but, from what I could see on both ends, there was no way to put a boat on the water.  VERY little water flowing.  The put in was more like a small drainage ditch.  Unless we missed something that you need to go a certain time of year, this was a complete bust. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. If you're a camper you can   camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Canter Road to County Road 743 stretch is one of them. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good spots. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This stretch of Big Indian Creek is 7.9 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-IV section of whitewater.
