The Ira Road to Route 303 section of Cuyahoga     River in Ohio is 6.8 miles long and is a class I section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Akron, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Ira Road to Route 303 stretch is just one of them. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are   lots of good places for that around here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers in this state are not very demanding. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: People from Peninsula love to come to Cuyahoga River, and everyone close by loves skiing at Boston Mills. Tinker's Creek State Park is worth taking a look at if you're at Cuyahoga River, and the sights at Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area will blow your mind.
