Ledges include a 10-12 footer (two of them) 4-5 foot and some nice smaller drops, it is a short run with a lot of action... Says Tim Richmond The wonderful Ohio scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Hall's Creek are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. This section of Hall's Creek is 1.25 miles long and has been rated     as a class III+(IV) section by American Whitewater. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. This section is very short so better bring some good walking shoes. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Dayton, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Ohio are often more forgiving than in other states, so you'd better   keep in mind that rivers in this state are less demanding. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. No need to look hard for hotels, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: Hall's Creek is right by the Lakeview Trail; you'll meet a lot of folks from South Lebanon here. Take a hike on the Beechtree Trail, and Stonelick State Park is a good place to have a look at on a beautiful day. This river has it all. Hall's Creek gets a normal amount of rain. All through May this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
