You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: If the weather is good here at Hocking River, you can go for a hike along the Sassafras Horse Trail. A.W. Marion State Park is a perfect place to stretch your legs a bit, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Five Oaks Trail. Lots of fun awaits you along this river. You're sure to bump into some good folks from Carroll here. Hocking River gets a normal amount of annual rainfall. The month with most of the rain is May; February is when it's the driest.
