If you're coming from East Liverpool-Salem it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This section of Little Beaver Creek is 8 miles long and is a class     I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. No shortage of good hotels, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Fredricktown to Ohio River section is just one of them. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. On this section you do get some distance, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The nature scenery of Ohio and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty   of places for that. There's camping available near Little Beaver Creek. Briefly about the general area: Hiking along the Fishermans Trail is glorious fun, and the smiling people of East Liverpool like to hang out close by. Have a great hiking adventure along the Gretchens Lock Trail, and a fine place nearby is Purgatory Hollow. Coming to this river is always a good idea. Beaver Creek State Park is a good place to stretch your legs a bit. At Little Beaver Creek through the summer highs are in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Little Beaver Creek are in the 10's.
