The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Ohio are often easier than in other states, so keep in mind that rivers in this state are less demanding. The scenic beauty of Green County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming     here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This is a very short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. This stretch of Massie's Creek in Ohio is 0.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III section. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. This is one of a small number of   paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. Briefly about the general area: There is a magnificent hiking trail in the neighborhood of Massie's Creek called the South Gorge Trail, and a journey to John Bryan State Park revitalizes the spirit. On a wonderful day at Massie's Creek you can take a hike along the Orton Memorial Trail; needless to say, everyone loves Caesar Creek State Park. At this river you will never have a bad time. Massie's Creek is a place with many visitors from Cedarville. Through the summertime at Massie's Creek highs are mostly in the 80's, and the nighttime is slightly colder of course, regularly in the 60's.
