The natural beauty of Oregon and the water flowing gracefully down Blue River beats anything. The starting location is a short drive from Albany-Lebanon, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The average Oregon whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. A bit of exercise |
and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. Whitewater paddling here in the Central Cascade Range is a great experience. There are a few other sections in this river system that can
| be paddled as well. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. The campgrounds here at Blue River are pretty good. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This section of Blue River is | |
|
4 miles long and has been rated as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater.
Briefly about the general area: Going to Willamette National Forest right next door to Blue River is a fine thing to do, and do take
a hike on the Gold Hill Trail. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Central Cascade Range. At Blue River you always meet someone from Blue River; you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Three
Creek Trail. This is such a wonderful river. Much rainfall falls at Blue River. The month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; July meanwhile is the driest month.
