The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The Parker Falls to Champion Creek stretch of Brice Creek in Lane County is 4.5 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V |
section by American Whitewater. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. The starting point is not too far from Eugene-Springfield, as you can see on the road map further down. Getting
| some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of spots for that. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Parker Falls to Champion Creek section is one of them. There's camping available near Brice Creek. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river | |

if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The beautiful Central Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus.
Briefly about the general area: Hotel Spring
is an inspiring place to stop by during your stay, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Mayflower Trail. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. Don't leave Brice Creek without first
paying a visit to Smith Falls; the Steamboat Trail is a great hiking trail close by. This river is so good. For the duration of the days of summer at Brice Creek temperatures are typically in the 70's.
