The put-in location is a short drive from Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page |
so you won’t get lost. The natural beauty of Clackamas County and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'll have to walk back to the
| start over and over. There are some good hotels near the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Range and you get great scenery. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots.
Briefly about the general area: Hit the beach if you want, Sundial Beach is practically
right here, and people from Sandy love to come here. Now, you may assume that's a load but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range. There are good places to explore along the Fanton Plaza
Trail It's always pleasant to visit Geary Spring. If you come to this river you will have a good time for sure. Going for a hike on the Eagle Creek Cutoff is always a delightful adventure.
