This section of Canyon Creek in Douglas County is 9 miles long and is a class III-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. The wild     scenery of the Central Cascade Range is great. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Confluence with Pass Creek to Steamboat Creek section is one of them. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Oregon is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better not forget that many   runs in this state are not easy. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. Briefly about the general area: Canyon Creek is right by the Williams Creek Trail, and hiking along the Mott Trail is glorious fun.
