The scenic beauty of Lane County and the playfulness of the water beats anything. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Oregon you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. If you're coming from Eugene-Springfield it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, if you're not |
familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There
| are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. Whitewater paddling here in the Central Cascade Range is a great experience. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. The Gorge 1 mile above Brice Creek to Brice Creek stretch of Champion Creek in Oregon is 1.1 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V section. This section | |
|

Briefly about the general area:
There is a great hiking trail close to Champion Creek called the Mayflower Trail; do put some time aside to spend at Smith Falls if you're here at Champion Creek. All the outdoors cool stuff in the Central Cascade Range
