The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Oregon are harder than the national norm, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The nature scenery of Oregon and the water flowing gracefully down Clackamas River beats anything. Whitewater paddling here in the Central Cascade
Range is a great experience. The McIver Park to Mouth section of Clackamas River in Oregon is 21.8 miles long and it is classified as a class II section by American Whitewater. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river,
but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so why not pack your camp stove too. The campgrounds here at Clackamas River are pretty good. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good spots. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back
for more. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the McIver Park to Mouth section is one of them.

Briefly about the general area:
Milo McIver State Park is both fine and stunning, and it's in the vicinity of Clackamas River, and you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Sundial Beach. That right there is a lot of fun things already but it goes on, the Central Cascade Range has it all. Clackamas River is a place with many visitors from Beavercreek; you beyond doubt have to stop at Bonnie Lure State Park since you're here. This river is so wonderful.
