Oregon whitewater, Clear Creek

Clackamas county, Oregon 211 to Redland Road section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS II-III     7.8 miles
The scenic beauty of Clackamas County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The starting location is a short drive from Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton, as you can see on the road map further down. This section of Clear Creek in Oregon is 7.8 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking
in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The wild scenery of the Central Cascade Range is great. The Oregon 211 to Redland Road stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. If you're
a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so better not forget that lots of rivers
here are not for beginners. This stretch has has enough mileage, good for a one day paddling trip.

Briefly about the general area:
Milo McIver State Park is a charming place any time of year, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Pine Crest Trail. This site, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors amusing things. Places like Bonnie Lure State Park are nice to visit, and people from Estacada love to come here. This river has it all. Nothing beats kicking back at Sundial Beach. All the water falling down from the sky makes Clear Creek a wet place. December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is July.
